LESCO Demand Notice Charges (2026): New Meter Installation Schedule & Fees

Whether applying for an independent residential meter in an existing house or electrifying a newly built commercial plaza, obtaining and paying your demand notice is the final prerequisite before meter installation.

Strict 30-Day Payment Deadline

LESCO demand notices expire automatically 30 calendar days from the printing date. Once expired, the sub-division system will not accept bank payment without a formal validity extension endorsed by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO).

1. What is a LESCO Demand Notice?

A Demand Notice is an official payment voucher issued by LESCO specifying the capital expenditure, equipment cost (energy meter and service cable), and security deposit required to energize a new electricity connection.

Demand notices are issued after the LESCO line superintendent conducts an on-site feasibility survey to calculate physical distance from the nearest Low Tension (LT) distribution pole and verify transformer capacity.
